Delivering superior surfaces to our clients since 1996
With a lifetime in surface manufacturing under his belt, business owner Rowan O’Brien has gained many years of product knowledge, manufacturing techniques, technical skills and business operations. He has led his team to earn a reputation for producing high-quality finished solutions.
Today, the company has grown to include retail brands Simply Surfaces and The Top Shop Whakatane, Tavolo premium acrylic solid surfaces, and Rowan James Ltd, importer and distributor of Tavolo.
The business could not thrive without its people. The team are passionate about delivering quality craftsmanship while recognising the company is only as good as the people that work there.

Sending offcuts to landfill has weighed on our minds. Our team have taken great pride in thinking of ways we could repurpose, reuse and recycle this perfectly-good product. We had fun designing and creating decorative wall tiles from our waste material.
This is one way to keep waste from landfill while we explore other options.
